NASCAR Legend Won't Race In Chicago Following Family Deaths: Report
The bodies of Jimmie Johnson's in-laws and a nephew were discovered at a home in Oklahoma Monday following an apparent murder-suicide.

CHICAGO — NASCAR legend Jimmie Johnson will not race in this weekend's NASCAR Cup Series in Chicago following the deaths of his in-laws and a nephew. According to the Associated Press, the bodies of Jack Janway, 69; his wife, Terry, 68; and a grandson, Dalton Janway, 11; were discovered at a home in Muskogee, Oklahoma, in an apparent murder-suicide.
Johnson, a seven-time NASCAR champion, was scheduled to race as part of the first-ever street race contested in the NASCAR Cup Series at Grant Park. His team, Legacy Motor Club, announced he was withdrawing Tuesday afternoon on Twitter.

A Muskogee police spokesperson said investigators believe Terry Janway shot and killed her husband and grandson before shooting herself, reports Associated Press. Police confirmed the three are the parents and nephew of Johnson’s wife, Chandra Janway.
