New Illinois Laws 2017: TAXES AND FEES

Nearly 200 new Illinois laws scheduled to take effect on Jan. 1. Here are the new laws governing Taxes and Fees:

• Property Tax Code (SB 2160/PA 99-0560): Extends sunset date on valuation of vegetative filter strips to December 31, 2026 (SB 2160/PA 99-0560).
• Extends repeal date of River Edge Redevelopment Zone Act (SB 0321/PA 99-0733).
• Requires tax preparers to provide their PTIN on any return they prepared and filed with the Department of Revenue (HB 5527/PA 99-0641).
