New Illinois Laws 2018: Agriculture, Animals And Hunting

AGRICULTURE, ANIMALS AND HUNTING
Official State Grain (HB 470): Designates corn as the official state grain.
Snow Break Grower Fee (HB 1800): Allows the county board to pay an inconvenience fee of more than 10 percent when the board contracts a farmer to grow a row of crops adjacent to a county highway to block drifting snow.
Expiration for Fish Dealer Licenses (HB 2028): Changes the expiration date for fish dealer licenses.

Sale of Plant Material (HB 2488): Allows the Illinois Department of Natural Resources to sell plants to government agencies, institutions, or individuals at a price to cover IDNR's costs to grow and maintain the trees.
EMS Transportation Police Dogs (HB 2661): Allows an EMT or Paramedic to transport a police dog injured in the line of duty to a veterinary clinic if there aren't any people requiring medical attention or transport at that time.

Wildlife Trapping Green Hides (HB 2685): Removes the requirement that fur harvesters dispose of green hides within 20 days after the close of trapping season.
Helping Dogs Service Program (HB 2897): Allows the Helping Paws Service Dog Program to also train service dogs for veterans with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) or depression.
Farmers Market Cottage Foods (HB 3063): Clarifies what cottage food operations are allowed to produce without being subject to health department regulations.
