NEWCITY’s “Sounds of Summer” Concert Raises Over $4000 for Bike MS
Music by Rod Tuffcurls and The Bench Press Rock Lincoln Park in Support of Fundraiser
On Thursday, August 15th, NEWCITY hosted a one-night-only “Sounds of Summer” free concert featuring Rod Tuffcurls & The Benchpress to support Bike MS, and raised over $4000 from donations and 50/50 raffle.
Bike MS is the largest fundraising cycling series in the world. Each year, nearly 50,000 cyclists and more than 5,000 teams ride together to change the world for people with multiple sclerosis.
Rod Tuffcurls and The Bench Press is a live performance powerhouse band from Chicago, entertaining crowds at clubs, festivals, weddings, and other events all across the Midwest since 2008. Their unique song repertoire include hits ranging from Hall & Oates to Taylor Swift, Queen to The Beatles, and Wilson Phillips to Elton John. The band combines excellent musicianship, 3 -part vocal harmonies and a contagious stage energy that always gets people dancing.

“Sounds of Summer” is NEWCITY’s free outdoor concert series that takes place during the summer months in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago. For each event, NEWCITY supports a local charity through donations and raffles.
