Obama's Farewell Speech: Free Tickets Available Saturday

CHICAGO, IL — Free tickets for President Barack Obama's farewell address next week at McCormick Place will be handed out Saturday, according to the White House.

The ticket distribution will be at 8 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, at McCormick Place and will be given on a first-come, first-served basis. Only one ticket per person will be allowed for the outgoing president's speech Tuesday, Jan. 10. Obama's term ends at noon Jan. 20.

And don't think lining up overnight at McCormick Place means you'll be able to get access to next week's event. People won't be permitted to begin standing in line until 6 a.m., and camping and loitering before that will prohibited.

Ticket-seekers will need to go through the Gate 4 entrance to get in line for the distribution, and they can park in Lot A, 2301 S. Prairie Ave. The cost of that is $23.
