Age 93, a resident of Morris, IL, formerly of Chicago, IL, passed away on February 5, 2022. He was born November 14, 1928, in Chicago, IL the son of Mary (nee Figura) and John Czarnowski.

Edward grew up in Chicago. After high school, he joined the U.S. Army where he proudly served during WWII.
Edward married Elaine Matthews on January 6, 1961, and they settled in Chicago to raise their family. He worked as a Printing Press Operator in Chicago for the U.S. Government. He enjoyed playing golf and was an avid bowler. He also loved making memories with his family during their yearly summer vacation trips.

Loving father of Beth (Bill) Cichon of Wheeling, IL and Mary Ludemann of Morris, IL; dear grandfather of Shawn (Sara Budzow) Cichon of Wheeling, IL; fond uncle, cousin, and friend of many.
Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 60 years, Elaine Czarnowski ; his parents; daughter, Diane Czarnowski; his brothers, Walter (Dorothy) Czarnowski, Frank Czarnowski, and Stanley Czarnowski; his sisters, Julia (Eugene) Polcyn, Bernice (George) Borucki, Genevieve “Jean” (Stanley) Golemo; and son-in-law, Michael Ludemann.
Funeral services for Edward John Czarnowski will be Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 1201 W. Rt. 6 (at Deerpath Drive) Morris, IL, where visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 600 E. Jackson St., Morris, IL. Interment will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
