Planet Fitness North Broadway Celebrates Official Grand Opening

It was a celebration of fun, fitness, and community at last night’s Grand Opening of Planet Fitness North Broadway. The event featured a ribbon cutting with community officials Alderman James Cappleman and East Lakeview Chamber Executive Director Maureen Martino along with a check presentation to The Center on Halsted. Approximately 400 current and prospective members enjoyed live entertainment with KISS-FM Chicago, in addition to giveaways and workouts lead by “Biggest Loser” winner Danni Allen, who is also the Marketing Director for fourteen Planet Fitness locations in the Chicagoland area.

The North Broadway location features over 300 pieces of state-of the art cardio and strength equipment, a 30-minute express circuit and a cardio theatre; small group fitness instruction with a certified fitness instructor, fully equipped locker rooms, massage chairs, hydromassage beds, total body enhancement, tanning booths and free parking. Each club provides a hassle-free and non-intimidating environment and features the brand’s iconic “Lunk Alarm” – a purple and yellow siren on the wall, used as a light-hearted, gentle reminder that grunting, dropping weights or judging others is not permitted. Planet Fitness is open 24 hours, five days a week from 12:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. on the weekends.
