Police Search Lake for Missing Man With Medical Condition

UPDATED: Officers from the Chicago Police Department's marine unit checked the water near North Avenue Beach for Kevin Narko, 52.

CHICAGO, IL — Police are searching for a missing 52-year-old man with a medical condition last seen along the lakefront and called in the department's marine unit Tuesday morning to search the water near North Avenue Beach, according to reports.

Kevin Narko was last seen at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 30, in the area of North and Fullerton avenues, near Lake Michigan, according to Chicago police. He needs to take certain medication to care for an undisclosed medical condition, and police have labeled him as a high-risk missing person because of that.

Marine unit officers from the Chicago Police Department were brought in to help at about 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, the Chicago Tribune reports. They searched the lake near North Avenue Beach, the report added.

Narko matches the following description, according to police:

  • 6 feet tall
  • weighing 175 pounds
  • blue eyes
  • gray hair

He was last seen wearing a dark blue sweatshirt with "Yale" on the front, dark colored jogging pants and bright green running shoes.
