Pop-Up Book Store in Portage Park to Raise Funds for CPS
Donations are sought at "Carpe Librum, Seize the Book."
Chicago, IL - A pop-up book store is sending all its proceeds to help fund Chicago Public Schools programs this summer.
"Carpe Librum, Seize the Book" opened recently at 4047 N. Milwaukee Ave. in the city's Portage Park neighborhood and will be open through Labor Day.
The pop-up store's inventory of gently used books, CDs and DVDs comes strictly from donations. Everything is priced between $1 and $4 and everything made will be donated to the non profit "Turning the Page," which will then hand the funds over to CPS for its programs.
