Portillo's Chocolate Cake Is 54 Cents Next Week

Head to your local Portillo's April 6 for a cheap slice of the famous chocolate cake.

What's better than Portillo's famous extra-creamy chocolate cake? Getting that cake for under a buck.

In celebration of the Chicagoland hot dog chain's 54th birthday, Portillo's restaurants will offer chocolate cake slices for just 54 cents on Thursday, April 6.

The chain was founded as a humble "Dog House" in 1963 in Villa Park, Illinois. Today, there are 47 Portillo's restaurants in multiple states.

“We would not be here without two important ingredients -- our founder, Dick Portillo, and our devoted fans across the United States,” CEO Keith Kinsey said in a news release. “The Portillo’s team looks forward to celebrating this milestone with our customers.”

The 54-cent cake offer is available at all Portillo's locations with a limit of one slice per customer.
