Rain Friday, Fall-Like Temps This Weekend For Chicago Area

A look at the weather forecast for the coming days for the Chicago area.

It's starting to feel a lot more like fall out there. This weekend, comfortable temperatures in the 60s and 70s are expected across the Chicago area. On Friday, morning showers are in the forecast across far northeast Illinois Friday morning. But otherwise, dry weather is in the forecast through early next week, according to the National Weather Service.

Temps this weekend will start out chilly each day but sunshine and comfortable afternoon readings will persist, according to weather officials. High temps between 64 and 76 degrees are in the forecast for Friday. On Saturday, highs will reach between 65 and 74 degrees while Sunday could see temps reach between 67 and 73 degrees.

  • FRIDAY: Partly sunny. Morning sprinkles. Highs in the upper 60s. East winds 10 to 15 mph.
  • FRIDAY NIGHT: Clear. Lows around 50 in the suburbs...but in the mid 50s downtown. East winds 10 to 15 mph.
  • SATURDAY: Mostly sunny. Highs in the upper 60s. East winds 10 to 15 mph.
  • SATURDAY NIGHT: Clear. Lows in the upper 40s in the suburbs... But in the lower 50s downtown. Southeast winds 5 to 10 mph.
  • SUNDAY: Sunny. Highs around 70. East winds 5 to 10 mph.
  • SUNDAY NIGHT: Clear. Lows around 50 in the suburbs...but in the mid 50s downtown.
  • MONDAY: Sunny. Highs in the lower 70s.
