Raise Your Pints: Guinness Brewery Coming To Chicago
It will be the brewery's second taproom in the U.S.

CHICAGO — Have you ever thought about traveling to Dublin for a pint of beer at the Guinness brewery? If you can't make it to Ireland, a trip to Chicago's Fulton Market District could soon be the next best thing. Developer Fred Latsko is partnering with the Irish beer maker to open a brewery and beer hall, reports Crain's Chicago Business.
The proposed business venture would be located near 375 N. Morgan St. at the long-vacated Pennsylvania Railroad terminal building at the eastern edge of another Latsko property. According to Crain's, Latsko plans to develop a 33-story office building on the vacant western edge of the property near the corners of Morgan and Kinzie streets in a separate deal.
Guinness opened its first brewery in the United States in more than 50 years when the Guinness Open Gate Brewery was founded in 2018 in Baltimore. The Chicago location would be the second in this country, as there are currently just six Guinness breweries in operation around the world. The others are located in Ireland, Malaysia, Nigeria, Ghana and Cameroon.
