Rookie Bomb Sniffing Dog Keeps Pooping In Terminals At Midway

The TSA dog just can't help herself from defecating around airport crowds.

CHICAGO, IL — A rookie bomb-sniffing dog for the Transportation Security Administration at Midway International Airport has been having some bowel control issues while at work. A 2-year-old German Shepherd has been dropping her own packages around the terminals and concourses of the airport since she started on the job, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.

The pooch's problem is reportedly caused by nerves in crowds. She's only four months into the job, and an airport security chief said he doesn't think it's going to cost the pooping pooch her career.

"It doesn't impact her ability to do the job," Federal Security Director for Midway Kevin McCarthy told the Sun-Times.

McCarthy said he's come across this sort of problem in the past, but did not specify how often it happens.

There are seven bomb-sniffing dogs that patrol Midway Airport, according to the paper. Unlike police K-9's, the TSA doesn't release the names of their dogs to prevent people from distracting them by calling their names.

McCarthy said any unwelcome deposits are quickly cleaned up.
