Indiana Child to Ted Cruz: 'You Suck'

Ted Cruz was heckled Monday by a child during a rally in La Porte Indiana.

LA PORTE, IN — It looks like Ted Cruz's Indiana campaign — which can be accurately described as terrible, horrible, no good and very bad — may have hit a new low heading into Tuesday's primary vote.

It was summed up by an Indiana child who shouted to the candidate, "You suck."

Ouch.

The insult was slung at Cruz during a rally in La Porte on Monday. The only victory for Cruz in the scenario is that his heckler appears too young to vote.

But Cruz wasn't about to take a verbal beating from a child.

"I appreciate you sharing your views," Cruz fired back as the youngster was being escorted out by security. "One of the things that hopefully someone has told you is that children should actually speak with respect.

The crowd applauded as their candidate stood up to the fierce schoolyard bully.

Unfortunately for Cruz, he's got a bigger bully by the name of Donald Trump to stand up to in the Indiana Republican Primary on Tuesday.

"Imagine what a different world it would be if someone had told Donald Trump that years ago," Cruz said as the child heckler had his back turned to the presidential hopeful.

So far, it's not looking to great for Cruz. A polling average from Real Clear Politics has Trump ahead by 10.8 points as of April 29. Trump is leading Cruz in the delegate count 996 to 565 respectively and Indiana represents a last-ditch effort for Cruz to prevent Trump from locking up the nomination.

After the heckler was cleared from the event, Cruz took one final shot.

"You know in my household when a child behaves that way, they get a spanking," Cruz said to a large applause.

The boy, led out of the room by police, looked like he may have shrugged.
