McDonald's fans have struck gold as a classic seasonal item returns to the restaurant's menu.
CHICAGO, IL — A seasonal staple is on its way back to the McDonald's menu starting Feb. 17.
The Shamrock Shake and the OREO Shamrock McFlurry are making their way back to the Golden Arches before St. Patrick's Day, giving fans an opportunity to strike gold after a meal.
The classic Shamrock Shake is made with the chain's vanilla soft serve blended with Shamrock syrup, giving it a light mint taste. The drink is topped with whipped cream.

If you're looking to take the sweet treat a step further, the OREO Shamrock McFlurry combines the classic recipe with the timeless cookie, creating a lucky mix.
"Whether you’re feeling lucky or craving something refreshing, these seasonal favorites won’t be around forever. Catch them before they vanish like a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow," McDonald's said in a statement.
