Slight Warm-Up Before Temps Drop On Sunday Afternoon: IL Weather

ILLINOIS — Slightly warmer temperatures are expected for the weekend, before blustery, cold conditions approach the area on Sunday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.

Saturday has a high of 50 degrees, and will be partly sunny during the day, according to the weather service. There is a chance of rain on Saturday night into Sunday, especially to the south and east, the weather service said.

Sunday could start off rainy, before skies clear after noon, according to the weather service. The high for the day is 49 degrees, but temperatures will drop late afternoon on Sunday, the weather service said.

There is a slight chance of rain and snow showers before 9 p.m. on Sunday, and a chance of snow showers between 9 p.m. and midnight, the weather service said.

The high for Sunday night is only 27 degrees, and wind chills on Monday morning will be in the lower teens to single digits, according to the weather service.

Monday will be windy, but sunny, with a high of 33 degrees, according to the weather service forecast.
