Small Track Fire Creates Delays On CTA's Orange, Pink, Green Lines
The lines are back at full service, but the fire has caused residual delays, the transit agency says.

CHICAGO, IL — A small track fire is causing delays along CTA's Orange, Pink and Green lines Tuesday afternoon, the transit agency stated in an alert to travelers. The fire happened around 1 p.m. Tuesday near the Roosevelt Station, CTA said.

Crews were able to establish full service to the lines at about 1:30 p.m. But the fire did create a backup of trains along those routes, and passengers should allow for extra travel time.

"Trains are moving and normal service is being restored," the CTA alert stated.
