ILLINOIS — The far northern Chicago metro area could see snowfall late Thursday and early Friday morning, according to the National Weather Service forecast.

Friday afternoon is expected to be dry, with a high of 55 degrees, according to the weather service.

Saturday will also be sunny and dry, with a high of 45; followed by a warmer Sunday with a high of 54 degrees, the weather service said. There is a chance of rain on Sunday, including a slight chance of freezing rain early Sunday morning.
