Former Bears center Olin Kreutz got fired as a football analyst for CHGO Sports after reportedly shoving a co-worker by the neck during a meeting.

Nobody got hurt. Nobody got arrested.

Kreutz tweeted a picture of Mike Tyson and a message:

"Social media made y'all way too comfortable with disrespecting people and not getting punched in the face for it."

  • Chicago has been invaded by an "unusually large" swarm of gnats. (NBC5)
  • The White Sox beat the Cubs 3-1 in Game 1 of the crosstown series at Wrigley Field. Tim Anderson hit another first-pitch homer. (MLB)
  • Chicagwa, that's a made up word for Chicago tap water in a can. Now, you can get one at certain restaurants around town. It's part of a kind-of-funny public service announcement to celebrate National Drinking Water week and our city's greatest resource, tasty Lake Michigan tap water. (Patch)
  • City Hall reporters cited sources in reports suggesting Bally's had been selected to develop a casino in River North on the Chicago River. Mayor Lightfoot called those reports "inaccurate." Anybody taking bets on who is right? (NBC5)
  • The city's police accountability watchdog released body cam video of police fatally shooting an armed man who was holding hostages for about 2 hours in an apartment near Ford City Mall last month. (Patch)
