Whether you are looking for a low-key night out or a weekend long beach party, we have rounded up the perfect ways to celebrate Labor Day in style.

Chicagoans can kick off the weekend at MAK in Wicker Park on Friday, August 31 with $3 happy hour drink specials from 4-7 p.m. and after, head to Navy Pier to enjoy Miller Lite Beer Garden's "Live on the Lake!" music series, featuring a variety of artists all weekend long.

What screams the weekend more than Saturday brunch-hopping around the city? From the creamy Avocado Toast at Roanoke Restaurant in the Loop, to the $20 "Bottomless Brunch" at Hubbard Inn or the $6 Build-Your-Own Bloody Mary bar at Commonwealth Tavern in Roscoe Village, these tasty offerings are must-haves on your holiday weekend bucket list. After fueling up, get your best dance moves ready and make your way to Castaways at North Avenue Beach for live DJ's grooving with you from 1-7 p.m.

After a well deserved rest day, dive into Labor Day on Monday, September 1 head first with a Melon Mint Margarita in hand at Joy District's Rooftop Party. If a backyard BBQ is what gets you in the holiday spirit, soak up the last days of summer with Weber Grill's Picnic Program, letting you be the grill master for the day.

When you're ready to cool off, make your way to one of the 4EG bars for unique offerings throughout the evening. In Lincoln Park, aliveOne will offer music-themed trivia and "mystery prizes" for the lucky winners starting at 7:30 p.m. If drink specials are more up your alley, for only $8, grab a "PJ McGuire" cocktail at Remedy in Bucktown, "The Duffy" at Easy Bar, or maybe even a "Hoffa's Manhattan" at Estelle's in the Wicker Park neighborhood. To commemorate a weekend well spent, swing by The Owl in Logan Square for a $5.50 nightcap Margarita.
