Employee Shoots 2 Robbers in Rogers Park

The incident occurred in the 7400 block of Western near the Evanston border Sunday night.

CHICAGO, IL - An employee of a store that's just about a block south of Chicago's border with Evanston shot two people who attempted a robbery Sunday night.

The two suspects entered the store in the 7400 block of North Western Avenue in Chicago and announced a robbery around 9:46 p.m., according to an ABC 7 Chicago report. The employee, who has a valid concealed carry license, shot both before they fled the scene.

Both suspects were taken into custody by Chicago police in the area shortly after. They were both hospitalized, one with a wound to the shoulder and another to the right forearm.
