This Summer, the Y Is Adding Some STEAM to Girl Power

The Illinois Institute of Technology and the Y are teaming up to offer Discovery Day Camps this summer for girls 11-14 years old.

The YMCA of Metro Chicago has partnered with the Illinois Institute of Technology to provide 3 day camps that encourage some serious girl power.

Later this summer, the IIT Discovery Day Camp will be offered to girls 11-14 years old at the McCormick Y (the camps offered at the South Side Y and Kelly Hall Y have either already started or recently concluded). These 2-week camps focus on “Art and Computer Science,” with hands-on activities to stimulate interest in STEAM disciplines (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math). Camps are instructed by IIT professors and students, providing an interactive and engaging experience.

The McCormick Y camp will be held August 6-16. Space is limited, so register your child here!
