CHICAGO, IL — Police are investigating a case of vandalism Saturday to a synagogue in the Loop where swastika stickers were placed on its front doors and other damage was done to the house of worship

Security video of the incident at about 12:20 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, caught an unidentified suspect exiting possibly a Toyota Highlander SUV at the Chicago Loop Synagogue, 16 S. Clark St., according to Chicago police. The suspect — dressed in dark clothing and wearing a dark head mask — is then seen putting the stickers on the doors and using a metal object to break windows.

On Sunday, synagogue President Lee Zoldan announced two rewards were being offered for help leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual responsible for the vandalism, according to the Chicago Tribune. The Anti-Defamation League was posting a $2,500 reward, and community activist Raul Montes Jr. was giving a $500 reward, the report stated.
