Taco Bell Manager Shot By Disgruntled Employee: Report
The shooter followed the victim through the restaurant and out the back door, eventually striking him near the drive-thru, WLS reported.
CHICAGO, IL — A shift manager at a Taco Bell near Chicago’s northern border was shot after a dispute with a coworker turned violent Saturday, according to WLS.
Maurice Brown told WLS that a disgruntled employee who had been disciplined for slacking at work followed him through the restaurant and out the back door, eventually shooting him near the packed drive-thru.
Police reported a man was shot in the shoulder shortly after 10 p.m. in the 3500 block of West Devon Avenue near Chicago’s border with Lincolnwood, which is where the eatery is located.

Taco Bell told WLS it was “shocked and saddened” to hear of the shooting. Brown intends to go back to work but has asked to be transferred to a different location, according to WLS.
