Ted Cruz to Rally in Glen Ellyn; Clinton, Sanders Make Stops in Chicago

Tuesday is the Illinois primary election and several presidential candidates are making stops today in Illinois.

Several presidential candidates will be making stops in Illinois today ahead of Tuesday's primary election.

Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz plans to make several stops across the state, including one in Glen Ellyn. "Rally with Ted Cruz" will be held from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at Abbington Banquets, 3S002 Illinois Route 53 in Glen Ellyn. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. for the free event. Cruz will stop at other events in Illinois, including one in Rockford at 9 a.m. and will also make stops in Peoria, Springfield and Decatur.

Other presidential hopefuls will also be in the area on Monday. Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton will appear at the Plumbers JAC Local Union 130 UA, 1340 W. Washington Boulevard in Chicago, this morning. Doors open at 8:45 a.m. and the event will run from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Hillary Clinton will discuss breaking down barriers of economic opportunity at the free and public event, according to a press release from the Clinton campaign.

Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders will also be in Chicago on Monday. He will be hosting a free rally at Auditorium Theater of Roosevelt University, 50 E. Congress Parkway in Chicago on Monday night. This event is free and open to the public. Tickets are not required, but RSVPs are strongly encouraged. Admission is first come, first served.
