'Ted Lasso' Ice Cream Flavor Returns To All Jeni's Shops In Chicago

CHICAGO — "Biscuits with the Boss," a limited-edition Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams flavor inspired by the Apple TV comedy "Ted Lasso," is returning to every Jeni’s scoop shop in Chicago.

The flavor will be available beginning Tuesday at all eight Chicago locations, as well as through Jeni’s website and at select retailers while supplies last.

Chicago scoop shops are located in:

• Connors Park, 871 N. Wabash Ave.
• Logan Square, 2512 N. Milwaukee Ave.
• North Wells, 1419 N. Wells St.
• Southport, 3404 N. Southport Ave.
• West Loop, 908 W. Randolph St.
• Wicker Park, 1505 N. Milwaukee Ave.
• Wrigleyville, 3657 N. Clark St.

The flavor features pieces of crumbly shortbread cookies folded into salted butter sweet cream ice cream. It was inspired by the homemade biscuits Ted Lasso, played by Jason Sudeikis, brings to AFC Richmond owner Rebecca Welton, played by Hannah Waddingham, during their recurring "biscuits with the boss" meetings.

Jeni's and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products announced the flavor's return ahead of the fourth season of "Ted Lasso."

The ice cream initially debuted in 2023 and is returning for a limited time following confirmation that the Emmy Award-winning series would return for another season.

Jeni's describes the flavor as a combination of buttery, salty and sweet elements intended to replicate the show's signature shortbread cookies.

The company said the ice cream is made with grass-grazed dairy, while the shortbread pieces are made with real butter.

Online sales are scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Availability at the Chicago scoop shops and participating retailers will continue while supplies last.

The 10-episode fourth season of "Ted Lasso" premieres Wednesday, Aug. 5, on Apple TV. New episodes will be released weekly through Oct. 7.

The upcoming season finds Ted returning to AFC Richmond to coach a second-division women's soccer team. Returning cast members include Sudeikis, Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt and Jeremy Swift.
