Thanksgiving Week Forecast: Cold Temps and Rain for Chicago Area
The Chicago area can expect temperatures in the 40s all week, including Thanksgiving Day.

The holiday week will see temperatures in the 40s for most of the week and some rain as well on Tuesday and Wednesday.
As for Thanksgiving Day on Thursday, Chicago-area residents can expect temps in the lower 40s and mostly cloudy skies.
The rain could hit the area Tuesday afternoon or evening and continue into Tuesday night and Wednesday. The rest of the week should be dry, according to the National Weather Service.

Here is a detailed look at this week’s forecast:
- Monday: Sunny. Highs in the lower 40s. North winds 5 to 10 mph.
- Monday Night: Mostly clear in the evening then becoming mostly cloudy. Lows in the upper 20s in the suburbs...but in the lower 30s downtown. Northeast winds around 5 mph in the evening becoming east after midnight.
- Tuesday: Mostly cloudy. A 20 percent chance of showers in the afternoon. Highs in the mid 40s. Southeast winds 5 to 10 mph in the morning increasing to 10 to 20 mph in the afternoon.
- Tuesday Night: Showers likely. Lows in the upper 30s. Southeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation 70 percent.
- Wednesday: Showers likely. Highs in the upper 40s. Chance of precipitation 70 percent.
- Wednesday Night: Mostly cloudy. A 30 percent chance of showers in the evening. Lows in the mid 30s.
- Thanksgiving Day: Mostly cloudy. Highs in the lower 40s.
- Thursday Night And Friday: Mostly cloudy with a 30 percent chance of showers and snow showers. Lows in the lower 30s. Highs in the mid 40s.
- Friday Night And Saturday: Partly cloudy. Lows in the lower 30s. Highs in the mid 40s.
