Top 5 Public Elementary Schools in Chicago Selected by Chicago Magazine

Schools on the Near West Side, Forest Glen, Lake View and Chatham were ranked as the best in the city.

CHICAGO, IL - Chicago Magazine rated the best elementary schools in Chicago this week. It’s the first time the publication has compiled this type of list since 2012.

Here’s the top five in the public school category:

  1. Mark T. Skinner West Elementary School (Near West Side)
  2. Wildwood IB World Magnet School (Forest Glen)
  3. James G. Blaine Elementary School (Lake View)
  4. Arthur Dixon Elementary School (Chatham)
  5. Hawthorne Scholastic Academy (Lake View)
