New Tornado Warning Issued For Will County
The latest warning is in effect until 11 p.m. Monday, with a tornado watch until midnight.
ILLINOIS — A tornado warning has been issued for east central Will County until 11 p.m., this time affecting areas including Crete, Monee, Beecher and Steger. A tornado warning for south central Will County was also in place until 10:15 p.m.
A tornado watch was also in effect until midnight for both Will and Kankakee counties, affecting towns including Joliet, Bolingbrook and Wilmington.

Severe storms are possible across northern Illinois and northwest Indiana, the weather service said. There is an area-wide threat for damaging winds, large hail and a couple tornadoes.

Locally heavy rainfall and flooding will also be possible late Monday and overnight. The weather service advised having multiple ways to receive weather warnings.

Periodic thunderstorms are expected through Thursday, and strong to severe storms are possible again late Tuesday or Tuesday night, according to the weather service. Warm and humid weather will also continue through Thursday, with dangerous heat index values over 100 degrees expected on Tuesday.
Hot and humid weather is expected Tuesday, with a heat index of 105 to 110 degrees.
