U.S. Rep. Bobby Rush Tests Positive For COVID-19

U.S. Rep. Bobby Rush announced that he has tested positive with a breakthrough case of COVID-19, encourages constituents to get vaccinated.

CHICAGO – U.S. Rep. Bobby Rush (IL-01) announced Monday evening that he has tested positive with a breakthrough case of COVID-19.

Notified of a recent exposure, Rush said in a written statement that he tested positive with a breakthrough case of COVID-19. He plans to quarantine following the latest guidance fron the CDC and Chicago Department of Health.

“Fortunately, I am fully vaccinated and recently received my booster shot. I am feeling fine and currently have no symptoms … As COVID-19 cases rise and the Omicron variant spreads throughout the nation, I encourage everyone who has not yet done so to get vaccinated and get boosted as soon as possible,” Rush’s statement read.
