ACROSS ILLINOIS — Veterans Day is a time to celebrate those who have served in the United States military, a segment of the population that is all too often overlooked and underappreciated. Take a moment to read through these tributes, and then take a moment of silence, if you'd like, to commemorate those veterans who sacrificed their time, their bodies and even their lives to serve our country.
