Victim Shot In Road Rage Expressway Shooting On I-94

A Chicago woman was arrested in connection with an expressway shooting that hospitalized one person this week, authorities said.

CHICAGO, IL — A driver was hospitalized after a road rage incident escalated into a shooting on I-90/94 this week, according to the Illinois State Police.

ISP troopers received a report of an expressway shooting on March 8 on the I-90/94 southbound at 18th Street. According to authorities, a road rage incident between two vehicles turned into a shooting when one driver pulled out a gun and fired at the other.

After shots were fired, both vehicles continued southbound before the victim's car crashed into a light pole off the interstate near 36th Street. Paramedics transported the victim to a nearby hospital to be treated for a gunshot wound.

The suspect, who was identified as Dorshae T.N. Harris, contacted the ISP to report the incident and was arrested.

The Cook County State's Attorney's Office reviewed the case and approved charges against Harris of attempted murder and aggravated battery with a firearm.

Harris is currently in custody awaiting her first court appearance.
