1) Vice President Harris in Chicago as gubernatorial candidates make last-minute stops ahead of Election Day. Vice President Kamala Harris attended two rallies in Chicago yesterday—one at the XS Tennis and Education Foundation with Gov. JB Pritzker and Lt. Gov. Juliana Stratton, and the other a 'Get Out the Vote' rally with U.S. Sen. Tammy Duckworth at The Second City. The visits were to encourage voter turnout and highlight incumbent Democrats.

2) Protesters in Chicago spell out 'free Iran' in white flags visible to passing planes. Protesters spelled out "Free Iran" in a white flag demonstration near Montrose Beach yesterday. About 14,000 flags were placed on the grass, each one representing prisoners and journalists being tortured and held in prisons across Iran. They also represented college students, musicians, artists and athletes.

3) Floating wetlands installed on South Branch of Chicago River for native wildlife. Floating wetlands have been installed in the Lower West Side of the Chicago River to attract native wildlife to the historically industrial stretch of waterway. The project was a collaboration between Shedd Aquarium and Urban Rivers.

5) Ukrainian pro soccer coach flees war, lands in Chicago. Now has Edgewater amateur team on cusp of a championship. Andriy Berezovchuk played 18 years of professional soccer and eight years as a coach in his native Ukraine before his life was upended by the Russian invasion. His family now takes refuge in Chicago, where Berezovchuk, 41, is rebuilding his coaching career and has a local team on the brink of a city title.
