Who Ya Gonna Call? Chicago Storm's Light Show Looks Like It's From 'Ghostbusters'

CHICAGO, IL―Apparently, Mother Nature is a big Ghostbusters fan.
Or maybe she just can't wait for this summer's all-female reboot* of the comedy classic that starred Bill Murray, one of the Chicago area's favorite native sons.

Either way, a Reddit user, FrozenbagofMicrowave, captured this dazzling lightning display over the Sears Willis Tower and the 311 S. Wacker Drive building during Monday's storm and posted it to the popular social news platform.
As the post's headline indicates and many commenters pointed out, the photo certainly evokes the 1984 film's climactic battle between Gozer the Gozerian and the Ghostbusters, a clash that memorably involved a giant corporate marshmallow mascot dressed in a sailor suit.

One commenter, however, thought all that light and fury signified something far more sinister and disastrous for Chicago sports fans.
"It was the hockey gods deciding against letting the Blackhawks advance," Reddit user tallandlanky wrote in the comments thread.
* And in case you forgot or weren't aware, the new Ghostbusters movie keeps the franchise's big-time Chicagoland ties with south suburban native Melissa McCarthy as one of the leads.
