This Winter Go From the Couch to Climbing 180 Floors
Custom training program kicks off for Chicago's Biggest Stair Climb

On Wednesday, November 14 at 6 p.m. at Presidential Towers, the American Lung Association in Greater Chicago will host the Couch to Climb, an event to kick off a free training program for the Fight For Air Climb at Presidential Towers.
The Fight For Air Climb, set for March 10, attracts thousands of Illinois residents and people from across the country who race up the stairs of 1, 2, 3 or all 4 Presidential Towers (a total of 180 floors, 2,340 steps). The training event next week will allow anyone who is interested in stair climbing to tryout the stairwells of Presidential Towers free.
“Training for the Fight For Air Climb is a great way to stay active during the chilly Chicago winters, but also provides a fun activity for families, team building for corporate teams and a fundraising activity for students,” said Kristen Young, the executive director of the Lung Association. “Anyone can climb, and this free training program gives anyone interested the tools to get healthy this winter and tackle the towers this spring. Additionally, money raised at the Fight For Air Climb supports local programs to help Chicagoans facing lung disease.”
