Woman Charged In Lower Wacker Crash That Killed 1-Year-Old Girl
The woman has been charged with DUI, police said.

CHICAGO — A woman has been charged with DUI in a crash downtown that killed a 1-year-old girl, police said. The child was ejected from the car, and died later in a hospital. Another passenger, a 29-year-old man, was seriously injured.
The woman was traveling west on Lower Wacker Drive and made an illegal u-turn at Garvey Court at about 1 a.m. on Friday, police said. She crashed into an eastbound vehicle, and the 1-year-old girl was thrown from the car. She was not in a child safety seat or wearing a seat belt, police said.
The girl was taken to Lurie Children's Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

Adreannia Donaldson, 29, is charged with aggravated DUI causing death, driving without a license, driving without insurance, failing to yield and failing to properly restrain a child.
Donaldson and the other 29-year-old passenger were taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in serious condition.

Police said Donaldson showed signs of having an unknown narcotic in her system.
She was scheduled to appear in bond court Sunday.
