Woman Dead After Car Falls Off Dan Ryan Expressway: ISP
A 31-year-old woman hit a group of crash barrels Sunday morning, causing her vehicle to drop into a parking lot below, officials said.

CHICAGO — A woman is dead after her car fell off the Dan Ryan Expressway Sunday morning, state police told Patch.
The 31-year-old woman, later identified as Nicole Betts by the Cook County Coroner's Office, hit a group of crash barrels going southbound on the expressway at around 2 a.m. Sunday and dropped about 40 feet into a parking lot below.
The incident occurred near 29th Street in the city's Armour Square neighborhood, Illinois State Police said.

Betts, of Manteno, was taken to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead. No other injuries were reported from the crash.
In February, two people died in a similar fashion after their car dropped from the Stevenson Expressway at the same interchange. Two other people in the vehicle were seriously injured.
