Woman Found Dead On CTA Red Line Tracks In Lakeview: Police

The 28-year-old victim had suffered electric burns to her upper legs and chest, according to police.

CHICAGO, IL — A woman was found dead on the Red Line tracks overnight in Lakeview, according to police.

A conductor was traveling north about 2:30 a.m. between the Belmont and Addison stops when he saw the woman on the tracks at the 900 block of West Cornelia Avenue and stopped the train, police said.

The 28-year-old victim had suffered electric burns to her upper legs and chest, and was pronounced dead, according to police. Detectives were investigating the incident Thursday morning, police said.
