CHICAGO, IL - Since Mom would cook for you any other Sunday of the year, Mother’s Day would be a good time to take her out to a nice brunch.
In the big city.
Here are the top five places for Mother’s Day brunch in the city of Chicago, according to Yelp.
- Drake Bros, 140 E. Walton Pl. in Streeterville. Reviewer from Tuftonboro, NH states: “Drake Brothers is a charming restaurant with all the ambiance that goes along with a visit to the Drake Hotel. The staff are consistently friendly and courteous - they bend over backwards for kids - and are happy to adjust an entree to suit one's tastes. By all means, try the eggs Benedict!”
- Summer House, 1954 N. Halsted in Lincoln Park. Reviewer from Chicago states: “Love everything about this place!!! They seriously have the best spicy margaritas! It's smokey and perfect. Make sure you make reservations because it's always packed.”
- Pump Room, 1301 N. State Parkway in Gold Coast. Reviewer from Midlothian states: “Great atmosphere and service! I had A spinach and goat cheese flatbread with the hand cut fries. The flat bread had a little too much spinach and needed more goat cheese. For dessert we had the deep dish cookie with ice cream, which is a must! Our waiter gave us a history lesson on the Pump Room and was very attentive.”
- Shaw’s Crab House, 21 E. Hubbard St. in Near North Side. Reviewer from Littleton, Colo. states: “Went here for brunch, and this was one of the best I have been to. Everything was fresh and amazing. Spent a good hour and a half going through our options. Laid a nice base down to enjoy the rest of the day.”
- Mindy’s Hot Chocolate, 1747 N. Damen Ave. in Wicker Park. Reviewer from Chicago states: “Love seeing marshmallows melting on hot chocolate. I got the dark chocolate and it is so creamy. It has a strong chocolate flavor.”
