15-Year Old Charged In Chicago Heights Shooting Death
A 15-year-old boy was charged with involuntary manslaughter in connection to the May 22 fatal shooting of another 15-year-old boy.

CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL -- A 15-year-old boy has been charged in the shooting death of another 15-year-old boy inside a Chicago Heights home last month.
Chicago Heights Police Chief Thomas Rogers indicated in a news release Friday night that the teen was charged earlier that day with involuntary manslaughter in connection to the incident that allegedly occurred in the afternoon of May 22.
Previous reports indicate police found the shooting victim inside a home in the 1600 block of Aberdeen Street at 3:13 p.m. Paramedics on the scene rendered aid to the victim but the boy was pronounced dead less than an hour later at St. James Hospital in Chicago Heights. The victim has been identified as Juan Willingham of Sauk Village, according to a CBS-Chicago report.

Rogers says the teen who was charged Friday has other pending cases in Cook County for aggravated discharge of a firearm, unlawful use of a weapon and armed robbery from events that allegedly took place in August 2016 and March 2017.
