4 Marian Catholic Students Qualify For Art Scholarships

CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL - Four Marian Catholic High School students have qualified to earn scholarships from the Art Academy of Cincinnati. Seniors Emily Recupido of Matteson and Kelli Baker of Flossmoor as well as juniors Courtney Harris of Hazel Crest and Devin Tonks of Munster, Indiana are among 1,000 students from Illinois high schools who are showcasing their art at the Illinois High School Art Exhibition and competing for scholarships.

The show that includes the four Marian Catholic students runs until March 9 at the Zhou B Art Center and Bridgeport Art Center in Chicago’s Bridgeport neighborhood. The students were informed of their scholarship awards on Monday.
