Alicia's House 15th Annual Celebrity Golf Outing Coming Up September 9th
Be a part of golf outing or dinner and help Alicia's House fight hunger in the south suburbs. Actor Scott L. Schwartz returns this year.
Juan Hernandez, Founder of Alicia’s House in South Chicago Heights invites the community to take part in their annual golf outing. What better way to have fun and help feed thousands of families in the south suburbs.
“ In 2016, Alicia’s House fed 6627 families, 21,764 people and distributed 322,897 pounds of food ” said Hernandez. “We were able to do this because of the great response we had from you and others that supported our annual event,” he added.
On Saturday September 9th 2017, Lincolnshire Country Club, located at 390 East Richton Road in Crete will be the site of the 15th Annual Alicia’s House Celebrity Golf Outing. For 18 holes of golf with cart, lunch and dinner is only $125 per person and $500 for a foursome.

“ This year with our economy the way it is, we have seen an increase in the amount of individuals we are helping. ” Hernandez said. “ Alicia’s House is totally supported by donations from individuals, businesses and various fundraisers. All of the money raised goes directly to feed the hungry and run Alicia’s House pantry in South Chicago Heights. Also nobody at Alicia’s House is paid, everyone volunteers,” he added.
One of the best parts of the day will be the silent auction after the dinner at Lincolnshire Country Club. Hernandez talks about what new items will be auctioned off. “There is a Cubs World Series display signed by all the members of the World Series roster. We also have a Gibson Les Paul guitar, 2 round trip airline tickets on Southwest, a Jackie Robinson autographed display and much more,” said Hernandez.

Actor Scott L. Schwartz (Bruiser from Oceans 11, 12 and 13) has been helping Alicia’s House for several years.
“All of the people that have anything to do with Alicias House, have become my family. The same way a college student looks forward to coming home for Christmas holiday, i look forward to "coming home" to Beecher every year for Alicias House. The people are all "down to earth", and i love everybody,” said Schwartz.
“We would like to ask for your help with our event” Hernandez said. “Would you consider becoming a corporate sponsor, sponsoring a hole, advertising in our program book, golfing, attending the dinner, providing an item for our live or silent auction or providing an item for goodie bags for about 150 golfers or for over 275 dinner guests? If you are a business or private donor, we’d be happy to put signage on the course, or if you’d like to sponsor lunch or work with different levels of sponsorship. Every dollar gets put back in Alicia’s House” said Hernandez.
If you don’t like to play golf, you can still join in the dinner, which will be held at Lincolnshire Country Club, where raffles and silent auctions begin at 4:30 with dinner being served at 7:00 P.M.
