57-Year-Old Killed In Governors Highway Crash: Authorities

UNIVERSITY PARK, IL — A 57-year-old Park Forest man was killed in a crash Friday on Governors Highway, authorities said.

Richard A. Wojcikowski was pronounced dead at 12:45 p.m. Friday on the highway north of University Parkway in University Park, according to the Will County Coroner's Office.

The highway was closed "due to a traffic crash with injuries," the University Park Police Department posted on social media around 11:15 a.m. Friday.

University Park and state police are investigating, authorities said.
