Chicago Heights Kappa Chapter Joins Illinois Adopt-A-Highway Program

Led by Brother Kal-El Waters-Jones, the chapter will help keep Halsted Street clean from Vollmer Road to Lincoln Highway.

The Chicago Heights (IL) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. has joined the Illinois Adopt-A-Highway program to help care for Halsted Street between Vollmer Road and Lincoln Highway.

CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL — The Chicago Heights (IL) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. has officially enrolled in the Illinois Adopt-A-Highway program. Chapter members will help care for the stretch of Halsted Street from Vollmer Road to Lincoln Highway in Chicago Heights.

The effort was led by Brother Kal- El Waters-Jones, the chapter's Community Engagement Chairman.

"We are honored to be serving the Chicago Heights community and helping to keep it clean," Waters Jones said.

The Adopt-A-Highway commitment adds to the chapter's 61 years of service to the Chicago Heights community. Through this effort, members will work together to help keep a well-traveled part of the city clean and welcoming.
