“My mom was my role model and hero,” McClure says. “I watched my hero fall prey to the grueling stages of Alzheimer’s. This book will allow the reader to garner some practical standpoints from a family member’s perspective.”
McClure’s story shows how the family system is impacted when a loved one is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. From personal experience, she says family members must come together selflessly, patiently and lovingly to care for the needs of the individual, regardless of the family dynamic or any societal issues that may challenge their resolve.
McClure will have another book signing at the Steger-South Chicago Heights Public Library on March 5th from noon-3 PM. The library is located at 54 E. 31rst Street in Steger.
There will be FREE refreshments. Books will be available for purchase for a nominal fee.
