Back To School Supplies Needed For Low Income Students

Scott Reese founder of Christ Cares is looking to help students return to school with supplies needed. Asking for donations from the public.

Back to school already.

Most parents don’t have a problem filling the list of their child for back to school items. Some parents can’t even afford a book bag.

A teacher tells the story of her students coming in with plastic bags from a grocery store. Her low income students struggle to keep that bag from ripping under the weight of heavy books.

Scott Reese, an urban missionary from Chicago Heights, wants to change all that. He is helping students from Ford Heights, Chicago Heights and Englewood to go back to school with all their supplies, in a book bag.

“Christ Cares is collecting School Supplies to help needy children,” said Reese. “ “Supplies are being collected for all age groups,” added Reese.
