Bloom 206 Girls Track Team Places High in State Meet

Several athletes took top ten placements in events, including the long jump, triple jump and relay races.

The Bloom Township High School District 206 girls track team achieved 16th place at the IHSA State Meet.

Hannah Morris took fourth place in the long jump competition. Kyja Griggs took eighth place in the triple jump competition. The team took sixth in 4 x 100 meter relay (Constance Daniel, Hannah Morris, Janea Gardner, Allysa Fryer) and 4 x 200 meter relay (Allysa Fryer, Kayla Griggs, Janea Gardner, Hannah Morris). Bloom 206 ultimately placed 16th as a team.

  • Hannah Morris (received a full scholarship to University of Minnesota)
  • Kyja Griggs (received offers from Minnesota State and Winona State)
  • Constance Daniels (attending Iowa Central)

Superintendent Lenell Navarre praised the athletes for their accomplishments. "We are very proud of our athletes and their showing at the state level," Navarre said. "These young ladies' hard work placed our district among the best in Illinois in track and field."
