Join us for a weekly light exercise where we stretch and work on building strength with chair yoga. Wear comfortable clothing.
This FREE exercise program is open to all Seniors (older adults welcome too!). Exercise waiver must be completed at first attendance. No registration is required, routines begin promptly at 2pm.

Illinois Junior Chef is an engaging educational cooking program designed to inspire young people to build healthy eating habits through fun, hands-on learning. In this upcoming cooking class, participants will explore essential kitchen skills while discovering how to make balanced, nutritious meals.
The program combines practical cooking experience with lessons based on the MyPlate food groups, helping youth understand how different foods contribute to a healthy diet. Each class highlights a specific food group and includes guided recipes that allow students to practice related cooking techniques and skills.
Our curriculum features a diverse selection of recipes along with supportive learning resources. Activities are designed with age-appropriate tasks that encourage confidence in the kitchen while introducing culturally relevant dishes that reflect a variety of traditions and flavors.

This FREE activity is open to students in Grades 7 to 12. Registration is required so we have enough supplies for all. Please observe ages for this program. You can register on our website, in-person at the Youth Services Desk, or over the phone at (708) 481-5333 x6.
