Chicago Heights Police Department Hiring Officers

CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL - The city of Chicago Heights' Board of Fire and Police Commissioners is looking to hire six new police officers immediately, a link to a job post shared by the Chicago Heights Police Department on Facebook shows. Applications will be accepted until 4 p.m. on March 5.

Starting salary for the job of police officer in Chicago Heights is set as $46,506.95, with it increasing to $75,546.06, plus benefits, after 10 years and one day of service. Pay raises will also be given upon completion of the police academy, range pay and use of force training pay. Another raise comes with completion of on-the-job field training.

There's a $45 non-refundable application fee.

Chicago Heights is a city with a population of approximately 30,000. There are currently 80 full-time sworn police officers.
