Chicago Heights Police K9 Awarded Grant
Cap, the Chicago Heights Police Department's K9 officer, was chosen to receive a grant through "Healthcare for K9 Heroes."

CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL - Cap, the Chicago Heights Police Department's K9 officer, will receive a grant after he was selected as one of the 2018 recipients of a "Healthcare for K9 Heroes" grant from Vested Interest in K9s, a non-profit that provides bullet and stab protective vests to dogs in law enforcement throughout the United States.
K9 Cap was previously awarded a bullet-proof vest through Vested Interest in K9s.
In addition to K9 Cap, the other initial recipients of the grant are Martin County Sheriff’s Office, KY, K9 Grim, Great Barrington Police Department, MA, K9 Titan, Chester Police Department, VT, K9 Dutch, City of Wilmington Police Department, IL, K9 Mao, Corson County Sheriff’s Office, SD, K9 Taz, Osage County Sheriff’s Office, OK, K9 Roy, Cheybogan County Sheriff’s Office, MI, K9 Havok, and Sauk Village Police Department, IN, K9 Falko.
